Our approach

Supporting Scholarly Work

The ETHOS Database facilitates scholarly work by sharing de-identified datasets with researchers, institutions, and organizations committed to improving air medical transport. Our goal is to enable rigorous, data-driven research that advances patient care, enhances operational safety, and informs policy decisions across the air medical industry.

A geospatial analysis of 148 pediatric and 1,075 adult trauma centers found that 65% of children have access to a pediatric trauma center within 60 minutes, and 73% can reach a pediatric-ready center. Optimizing pediatric readiness at adult trauma centers could expand access to quality initial trauma care for an estimated 14 million additional children.

Researchers and organizations interested in accessing ETHOS data for scholarly or operational purposes can submit a data request by following the process below.

Send us an email

Email hello@ethosdatabase.org with your name, institutional affiliation, and a brief description of your research or intended use of the data.

Review & approval

Our team will review your request and may follow up with additional questions. Requests are evaluated based on the scope and purpose of the research.

Data sharing agreement

Once approved, you will receive a data sharing agreement outlining the terms of use. After the agreement is signed, de-identified data will be provided.
